    Travel Reviews Of Huangshan

    注:由于本人生性懒惰,因此把学校规定的journal和空间上要写的blog合二唯一,以达到一举两得一箭双雕的目的,嘿嘿~~

As Vivian has enrolled in the Shanghai university with her first choice, a year’s tortures at long last ended. Vivian blurted out her plan of a journey to Huangshan with her mum when she once called upon me, which led to an idea that we may go to Huangshan together since my mum and I also wanted to go out for a trip during the summer vacation. This suggestion were soon accepted by all of us. Then we seeked out a travel agency and made full preparations for the journey. Everything was ready. We were eager for the departure.

    July 25, 2006

I got up at 4:45am as we had been told to gather in the doorway of the Shanghai Grand Theater before 6:30am. We arrived there on time, and then, we began our 3-day tour.

The most time of the day were spent on the coach. According to the scheme of the journey, we visited a sight in Huangshan city first, and then went to Mt. Qiyuanshan. Mt.Qiyunshan is one of the four well-known Taoism mountains in China. And we saw many spots on the mountain which features Taoism, inscriptions, Danxia landform and harmonious natural sights. We went hiking to our hostel after going up by cableways. It didn't take us a long time to arrive the hostel.

Athough I had already learned that the condition of the accommodation on the mountian was not good, I didn't expect it was that terrible!!! I had just hoped that it would be tidy at least considering we chose the so-called “luxury class”. Howerver, when I saw the best rooms of the hostel, I felt totally desperate. It was far far far far far…tendency to +away from luxuryL. Everything was so dirty and there were countless winged insects around the room. I couldn't imagine how horrible the standard class and the economical class would be!!! I really felt a beyond expression anxiety because I was so sensitive about unidentified insects. It could be predicted that I would have an awful night. And for sure I did have a sleepless night. I spent the whole night bringing down the winged insects flying around me. Among these bodies there were 3 big peak green butterflies and incalculable others. Besides, it was rather cold on the mountian at night, but the quilt was so dirty that I never had the courage to use it. As a result, I had to suffer from the cold pitifully. How could I sleep soundly under such a horrible situation!!?? What a nighmare!!!

At about 4:30am, I heard some noise outside. So I went out to see whether the guide came to wake us up to see the sunrise. Some of the  tourists were gathered outside whereas the guide was not there. The inn-keeper told us that there was little possibility for us to see the sunrise today in the light of his past experience. However, that was a chance we were going to take. Thus, the inn-keeper led us the way to the best place to see the sunup. Though we were not lucky enough to see the sunup at last owing to the sun being covered in so much cloud, the beautiful natural scene still cheered me up.

We came back to the hostel. Some of the tourists were talking about the weather. It was said that the weather would be awful the next day due to the typhoon Kaemi, we consequently consulted with the guide about taking the tour of Mt. Huangshan ahead of the schedule, and in the end we made the decision that we would set out for the Mt. Huangshan right now.

We went down the Mt. Qiyunshan and got on our coach. After about 2-hour ride, we arrived at the Mt. Huangshan.

When taking the cable-car up the mountain, I had been totally captivated by the beauty of the scenes. It was really a wonderful experience to look down the whole sublime mountian in mind air. After the cableways arrived, we had to climb the Mt. Huangshan by ourselves. The road was long and winding, but the scenes along the road were so splendid that all the weariness, aching muscles and other body pains were totally worthwhile.

I felt myself in the fairyland as we were surrounded with the rolling seas of clouds. And it was so cool as if we were staying in a vast expanse with a natural air-condition. Took a deep breathe and the fresh air was so pleasing.

After a long road, we came to the most well-known pine – the "Welcoming Guest Pine". We took some pictures before it and then went to the Jade Screen Tower to have lunch.

Having a square meal, we set out. We sightsaw the Lotus-flower Peak and then we came to the entrance of the Celestial Capital Peak. Vivian and I chose to climb the cloudy ladder to the peak while our two mums chose the other much easier way. I looked up when climbing up, the Yixiantian was so close to me. Despite the aching legs and the heavy rain, the breath-taking landscape drew all my attention. Arriving at the peak, we saw the Giant-fish Peak, it was so visual that I couldn’t help admiring the nature’s marvelous work and people’s creative power of imagination.

Vivian and I stopped and waited a long time for her mum and my mum. Obviously, they were worn out. After they had a short break, we went on going forward to the final destination – the Bright-top Peak.

We passed the Heavenly Sea Scenic Area and in the end, we reached the Bright-top Peak. We were quite excited and forgot all the tiredness and body pains, we won the victory! Yeah!!!J

On our way down the Mt. Huangshan, we went on a tour of the Begin-to-believe Peak, the White Goose Peak, and the Cloud Valley Temple etc. The various irregular rock formations were simply miracles! I believed that the tour of the Mt. Huangshan and the out-of-this-world scenes would be memorized deeply into my mind.

As the most important tour ended, the guide brought us to the biggest tea market in Huangshan city. The waitresses told us a lot of traditional tea lores. Huangshan is famous for the fur peak tea, so many tourists bought some after the performance of tea arts.

Then, we had the supper and went to the hotel. This hotel was much better than the former because it was located in the city, not over the mountain. So it was relatively tidy and comfortable. I fell fast asleep after a tiring day

    July 27, 2006

It was the last day of the Journey. In the morning we went to the Emerald Valley and the Nine-Driagon Fall. In valleys of the Mt. Huangshan, the Emerald Valley is famous for for its clearness and floweriness of the colourful pools while the Nine-dragon Fall is noted for its majesty and splendor of the waterfalls. The Emerald Valley has another nickname: the Lover Valley. The scenes there were quite beautiful, and we could feel an air of leisure and ease around us. The Nine-dragon Fall is one of the three large waterfalls of the Mt. Huangshan. And many important scenes of the renowned movie Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon was filmed there. We played in the pools and took a lot of pictures. On the whole, the tour of these two beauty spots was pleasing as well as not wearing.

The later journey in the afternoon I could sum up in 4 words: shopping, shopping, and shopping!!! As it was the only source of the guide’s bonus, we were arranged 3 places to shop. It was so boring and meaningless~~L

At last, after all the shopping, the whole 3-day journey ended. We started off for Shanghai. Oh, my dear Shanghai, I was coming!!!

Haha~~ In general, it was a pleasant journey!!! HeheJ
